Magnesium die casting continues to develop in the direction of highly complex castings with a high level of completion. Processing steps such as thread cutting, which used to be done downstream, are no longer necessary. Threads are cast with much tighter tolerances and then assembled with self-tapping screws. Today, robots remove and handle the castings.
