About us

The Ansbach University, founded in 1996, presents itself as a modern educational institution with a familial atmosphere and a wide range of study programs from the bachelor's to the doctoral level.

The student population of around 3,800 underscores the attractiveness of the university, which, due to its size, can ensure personal and individual support. The Faculty of Engineering hosts programs such as Energy Technology and Artificial Intelligence.

The Competence Center for Industrial Energy Efficiency (KIEff), established more than 10 years ago at Ansbach University, focuses on optimizing the energy efficiency of production companies and processes.

The main application field is the foundry industry. The emphasis is on improving industrial energy efficiency through digital and sustainable design of process chains, intelligent process control, and innovative waste heat utilization.
