Material solutions with artificial intelligence
The German manufacturer of aluminium alloys Fehrmann Tech Group and the Asian foam, film and elastomer products company Armstrong Asia signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in November 2023. Together, they want to use artificial intelligence to develop material solutions for various industries.
The cooperation is intended to produce advanced technologies that build on the strengths of both companies: Aluminium alloys and rubber production. Potential applications include lightweight components and composite materials for the automotive and aerospace industries.
Henning Fehrmann, Chairman and CEO of the Fehrmann Tech Group, emphasises the importance of the partnership for expansion into new markets, particularly in Asia.

Digitalised material development
One branch of the German company focuses on material informatics and the digital development of high-performance materials. In collaboration with specialists in aluminium and metal casting, they produce sustainable alloys - for the automotive, aerospace, energy and electronics industries, for example. This branch is expected to bring "a significant layer of innovation" to the joint venture.
